Course Description

This is a mainly practical course which focuses on extending knowledge and skills in the four key areas of Māori performing arts: Haka, Waiata, Poi and Waiata-ā-ringa.

Waiata ā ringa: Terina, Ka noho au, E ngā tini mate

Haka: Te Pūru, Tau ka tau, Takatakahia

Key roles of Te Ao Haka.

Recommended Prior Learning
*Only those who have already studied Level 2 MPA will be assessed at Levels 3 or 4.
Co-requisites: Level 1 Te Reo Māori, Level 1 Te Ao Haka
