Level 2 English Extension

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs S. Hippolite

All Year 12 students are required to study English and will be placed in one of the following courses: English Language, English Extension, Communication Literacy or ESOL. Students will be selected on their results and teacher recommendation.

English Extension is an advanced Level 2 English course catering for students proven to be highly proficient in a comprehensive range of language skills and willing to extend these to higher levels.

Students will be expected to perform at a minimum of Merit achievement.

Pathway

Recommended Prior Learning

 Students will be invited to select this course on the basis of school exams, internal grades and teacher recommendation. Expected performance – Merit or Excellence grades in Level 1 literature, close reading and creative writing.
