Recommended Prior Learning

Year 9 & full year of Year 10 Te Reo Māori (or equivalent).

This course covers the four core language skills of Tuhituhi (writing), Pānui (comprehension), Whakarongo (aural), and Kōrero (oral).

Course Overview

Term 1
Revision of Te Reo Māori Curriculum Levels 5 and 6. Beginning Tuhinga and Whakarongo assessment mahi.

Term 2
Curriculum Level 7 of Te Reo Māori. Complete first Tuhinga and Whakarongo assessment tasks.

Term 3
Revising Curriculum Levels 5 - 7. Completing the second assessment tasks for Tuhinga and Whakarongo.

Term 4
Preparing for external assessments.
