9JAP Course DescriptionThis course is for students wishing to explore an interest in Japanese language and culture. The course will be structured to meet the needs of both beginners and those with some prior language experience.
Topics covered include:
- Self-introductions, including basic greetings and terms of respect
- Numbers, dates, animal zodiac, ages, some basic family information
- Hobbies and spare time, likes and dislikes
- Hiragana alphabet

Assessment Information
Students have one opportunity during the programme to complete summative assessments for each of the course objectives:
Criterion A: Listening
Criterion B: Reading
Criterion C: Speaking
Criterion D: Writing
