Teacher in Charge: Mrs C. Phillips
GATEWAY is not a subject it is a vocational pathway programme. The Gateway Programme gives students in Year 12 and 13 the opportunity to blend school and work experience and enables them to undertake standards that are directly aligned with their preferred vocational pathway. GATEWAY students are selected based on the work readiness and employability of each student (attendance and attitude are carefully considered, as they are viewed as key indicators of employability). GATEWAY students must commit to a minimum of 10 days work experience with an employer over the school year. GATEWAY students must also commit to gaining a minimum of 20 vocational pathway credits from vocational subjects they are enrolled in or through unit standards that are related to the industry they are working in.
To be considered as a GATEWAY student you must make an appointment to talk with Mrs C Phillips (GATEWAY Co-ordinator) in the Careers Hub. Contact [email protected]
