Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Botes.
This is an introductory course to Year 12 Fine Wood which develops knowledge of general workshop safety and practices. Students use a variety of hand tools and machines to construct a picture frame and carpenter's toolbox. Having prior knowledge of basic woodworking skills is recommended for this course. Covered shoes are compulsory. This course also has a cost of $50 that contributes to materials and consumables for take-home projects.

Pathway
This course focuses primarily on the development of safe working practices, accuracy and sound hand tool techniques. These skills set students up for a pathway in Building, Cabinet Making or other related trade disciplines.
